Connecting-Africa discloses contact details and information about researchers affiliated to research organizations in the Netherlands.
As a researcher registered with Connecting-Africa you can add, delete and update the information in your profile. When you submit your profile to Connecting-Africa you agree that the information you provide in your profile can be stored and disseminated by Connecting-Africa on the Internet.
Connecting-Africa performs a quality control check on all profiles submitted to ensure that profiles fit the criteria for inclusion. After accepting a profile submission, Connecting-Africa makes the profile publicly available via its own search service.
You can remove your own profile information from Connecting-Africa at any time.
Connecting-Africa will hold your profile information for as long as:
- you allow the service to do so and do not delete the information;
- your profile is updated and accurate;
- your profile meets the criteria for inclusion; and
- the service is up and running.
If Connecting-Africa removes your profile from its service and closes your account, it will notify you and provide the reason(s) for such exclusion.
Once you are registered with Connecting-Africa and have provided your profile, Connecting-Africa may contact you regarding the service for administrative reasons, such as password reminders, profile update reminders, particular service maintenance news; or
for promotional purposes, such as notifying you of improvements to the service or new services on Connecting-Africa.
Connecting-Africa acts in accordance with current legislation and aims to meet current Internet best practice.
