Description
J. Abbink is an anthropologist and carries out research on the history and cultures of the Horn of Africa, in particular Ethiopia. His current projects are concerned with the relation between politics, religion and ethnicity in Ethiopia, a study of violence and culture among south-western Ethiopian ethnic groups, and research on history, memory and identity in Walaitta, southern Ethiopia. |
