Rijk van Dijk is an anthropologist, researching modern religion in Africa. More specifically, he is an expert on the rise of African Pentecostalism and has published extensively on the subject. His research has focused on Ghana and Malawi. He maintains a special interest in urban culture, youth and issues of globalization.
