Description Koos van der Velden is professor and head of department of public health Radboud University Nijmegen. His main topics are infectious diseases and health systems. He started his career as MoH at Kola Ndoto Hospital in Shinyanga Tanzania, later followed by a function as programma leader Family Medicine at the Netherlands Institute of health servicees research NIVEL and director of the Netherlands School of Public Health. He was active in many health sector reform programmes in CEE countries. He is chairman of the ECDC funded European Influenza Surveillance Scheme. In his current job he manages an unit with 35 staff and annual turnover of Euro 3 Million. He is engaged as chairman / board memeber of various international public health organisations | ||
