Description Paul Munters, an international economist and independent consultant, gained 15 years of experience in international cooperation. He lived and worked in many developing countries, including fragile areas like Aceh, Afghanistan, East-Timor, Sierra Leone, and Haiti. Over the years he extensively provided training and advisory services on project management, the new architecture of aid,governance and capacity building. With the aim to support policymakers as well as practioneers to increase the effectiveness of their endeavours. Through his work with a large group of institutions, Paul Munters acquired a profound and broad knowledge of international cooperation. In recent years he specialised in three area's. Results Based Management and tools and techniques like Project Cycle Management, Logical Frameworks, Objective Oriented Planning, Project Appraisal, Cost Benefit Analysis, as well as Monitoring and Evaluation. The New Architecture of Aid, comprising donor and country policies and strategies, international agreements, aid approaches and financing modalities such as General and Sector Budget Support, Sector Wide Approaches, and Public Finance Management. Political Economy and themes like Democracy, Governance and Corruption, Drivers of Change, Institutional Assessment and Capacity Building.
