Abstract
I wish to examine the characteristics of the European Union's foreign policy and hereby scrutinize the level of normative powers emanating from and evolving around these policies. The area of research will focus on human rights and especially the Charter of Fundamental Rights, which will serve as a catalyst for investigating how norms, norm changes and the institutional legitimacy contributes to the formation of EU's foreign policy as a normative power. The analysis will take a constructivist epistemological approach. |
