Abstract
International audience - After the World War II, Sub-Saharan Africa was marked by the willingness of affirmation of the peoples. There was a real desire to change a situation dominated by the colonial rule, in order to participate in the building of a new humanity based on the dialogue rather than the division between the two camps of the Cold War: West and Est. In sub-Saharan Africa, such a challenge required an important commitment, to fight against the complex of inferiority, to rediscover the African legacy, and to find its place at the crossroads of civilizations. The involvement of Africans here has revealed the personality of Alioune Diop. He is the main personality who initiated a change based not on the oppositions but on the dialogue. Alioune Diop was the person who called the Africans together in a common project which was the effective participation of Africa in the modern world. Thus he has been organizing the great events which remain the fundament of the contemporary Africa after 1945. |
