Abstract
- The present study fits in the field of integration of ICT in education. We intend to reflect on the role that institutions of initial teacher training in Angola can play, in the creation and development of ICT skills in their students, future teachers. The study was based on the ISCED-Benguela case and was developed from a qualitative approach, comprising three phases. In the first phase and based on the review of the specific literature of the area we seek to identify the current trends regarding the role of institutions of initial teacher training in the development of ICT skills of future teachers. In the second phase, through the content analysis of the data collected through interview, observation and documentary analysis, we try to understand how the problem of initial teacher education in the ICT area is and can be solved in the context of initial training institutions of Angolan teachers, and particularly the ISCED-Benguela. In the third phase, based on the analysis, articulation and systematization of the results obtained in the previous phases, we conclude on the conditions observed and necessary for the organization, implementation and monitoring of a system of teacher training appropriate to the Angolan reality, which contemplates the dimension of curricular integration of ICTs, as well as to suggest a series of recommendations and guidelines for the development of a program to support the integration of ICT in national school practices. |
